He was the son of John and Jane (Bremner) Ryerson, he was born in Jamaica, L.I., he was ingaged in the manufacturing of furniture in New York for a number of years. Later he removed to Brooklyn, N.Y. He Married Pelatiah Brinckerhoff, daughter of George and Rebecca (Berrien) Brinkerhoff. Pelatiah was born September 22, 1802 and died January 4, 1859. Both are buried in Jamaica, L.I.

Children:

1. Mary Berrien born September 22, 1835; died Feb 7, 1897; married John R. Bragaw born June 3, 1833; died December 23, 1890, son of Andrew and Mary (Hamilton) (Leveridge) of Long Island.

 

2. Theodore Born January 8, 1839; married Mary Miltada Coe dau of Samuel and Lousia ( Degroat) Coe.

3. Catherine born October 2 1843; died Febuary 5, 1898; married Charles Cornell -no issue -two children died in infancy.
